I'm ready.
This is what I tell myself. This is what I believe.
I've been here before. I've made progress before. Then I would derail. Travel. Death. Illness. Life. And I'm right back at the same starting weight, though with a stronger core, more muscle and better heart health.
Still, I want to get there. I want to uncover those abs! That's what this journal entry is--holding myself accountable. Documenting measurable progress. Focusing. Staying ready.
I like to break things into measurable goals. (I've adopted goals! Another byproduct of this meandering journey.) Three months, 30 lbs down. Insane? Of course it is; that's why I've adopted it. Do I *really* expect to get there? I don't care if I don't make it; the flat-out effort it will take to reach will make results worthwhile no matter what.
My general plan is simple enough. Work out 6 days a week. Incorporate strength training for at least half as many days. Meal prep. Stay away from vending machines.
Three months. Let's enjoy the ride!
