All is quiet on the eastern front

Caoimhe ("KEE-va") walks, is beginning to talk, and has very decided opinions and preferences. Aria tries to be as sweet as she knows how, having the occasional melt-down only when she believes one of her parents is going to lose a temper or when she's just so exhausted that she could be knocked over with a feather if given the chance.

We're working on reading now. Aria sounds out words and puts them together when I sound them out, but it's mainly repetition right now.

Caoimhe is learning her alphabet and teaching Aria patience.

Health-wise, things are moving smoothly. No update from Cinci in a while. We've caught no mutant virus from our girls this week. Jesse is growing and maturing more every day. My baby sister is pregnant and excited. *I'M excited...I can offer her all kinds of goodies! Just waiting for the first trimester to be safely over before I inundate her with fancy jogging stroller, designer crib bedding, and more toys than should be legal. (I try to keep the girls' play space open and expansive with only a few toys at any given time.) Of course, she needs to know gender before I dump lots of pretty baby dresses on her, but still...

Life is good. It always is, but I sometimes have to remind myself instead of seeing what's right in front of me.
