Welcome to the world of Walkers.
How's that for alliteration?
I'm playing with the blog feature. I can't promise any fabulous work of art or pithy statement so well worded that it's handed down to all future generations with eclat. I'll be content if I'm not pelted with rotten tomatoes by whomever stumbles onto these pages. If family and friends find this informative, helpful or amusing, it's just gravy. (Why don't we say, "it's Bechamel" or "it's raspberry-fig sauce"...why must it be gravy? I don't even like the stuff, so the phrase is counter-intuitive for me.)
A brief history of notable events in our quiet lives:
- Jesse was born July 19, 1976, and got laid many times as a pre-teen, teenager and adult.
- Autumn was born September 22, 1974, and moved a lot during her formative years. (Did you think I was going to go in-depth?)
- We were married September 11, 2005, in a quiet one-room church more than 100 years old, by beloved ministers, Uncle Larry and Mama Sheila.
- Our first child, Aria Caitlin Jennifer Walker, was born March 22, 2006. She weighed 7 lbs., 14 ozs.
- Daddy died April 24, 2006. Leading the line of cars on the overcast, drizzly day of his service, Mom, Caryn, myself and Jesse walked under umbrellas as we pushed the baby's stroller from the house to the same little church, never thinking about the impression we made, nor the tears that impression caused.
- Jesse and I bought our very own home near the end of 2006, a 3-story, 3 bedroom, 2 bath brick house with spacious back yard and front lawn.
- Our second child, Caoimhe ("KEE-va") Liliana Elizabeth Walker, was born September 18, 2008, weighing in at 8 lbs. 11 ozs.
Pictures, the main reason I created this blog, are proving difficult to display in the manner I desire. Updates will be forthcoming with pretty (or not-so-pretty) pictures.
Merry and happy, everyone!

Thank you, Sarah! Thanks especially for the link, as well. As ever, God bless you. -Autumn
